Venture Competition
MSEC run the University of Manchester Venture Competition, the first University-wide business competition.
Venture Out is an ideas competition for individuals or teams. It involves completing a short entry form outlining the idea and its commercial application. There are events and workshops during Semester 1 to encourage individuals to put forward their ideas. The entries are then put forward before a judging panel and the best ideas win cash prizes of up to £1,000. This is launched at the start of the Semester 1 and prizes will be awarded at the end of the semester.
Venture Further is a business enterprise competition that is runs in Semester 2. Entrants are provided with support and workshops to help them put together a business plan. The initial judging panel will select the best teams who will then be asked to give a short presentation to the final judging panel. The top prize of £25,000 and runners up prizes will then be announced at an awards dinner.
